Retirement no transition yes
On February 19, 2022 my beautiful wife Beckie Jolene (Guynes) Smith went into the arms of Jesus where she is rejoicing on streets of Gold. Yes we miss her very much as she ministered along side of me for over 50yrs.
The call of God is still strong in my heart and upon my life! No regrets! No remorse! No retreat! No retiring! There is still much to do for Christ and His Kingdom! “Uncle” Bud Robinson, a key figure in the early days of the Nazarene movement, prayed this prayer:
“O Lord, give me a backbone as big as a sawlog and ribs like the sleepers under the church. Put iron shoes on my feet along with galvanized britches. Hang a wagon load of determination upon the gable end of my soul and help me to sign a contract to fight the devil as long as I’ve got a fist and to bite him as long as I’ve got a tooth and then gum him ’til I die. Amen.”
