Reverend David Smith is an ordained Assemblies of God minister who has been working in Kenya with the World Missions of the AG for 50 years. David will be transitioning very soon to a tax exempt 501c3 organization called Living Water Christian Ministries.

David was also a starting board member of the Living Water International based in Houston, Texas. David went to Kenya and discovered a critical need for safe water solutions. He is involved in solutions, such as water catchments, drilling bore holes, dams, clinics, & ect.

David’s late wife Beckie spent much of her childhood in Malaysia, where her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Delmar Guynes, were missionaries. They have 4 children and Beckie served as chairlady of the Breast Cancer Awareness in Mombasa, Kenya, where she used her counseling degree in many ways.

During their past term of missionary service, Rev. Smith and his wife Beckie were involved in evangelism, church extension, and youth ministries in Kenya. They participated in the opening of several new evangelistic centers in Mombasa, the second largest city of Kenya. Of his ministry in Kenya, Rev. Smith says, “We are thrilled to see the Mombasa District catch the vision for church growth and expansion. They are purchasing plots, building church buildings, and planting churches. It is exciting to be working in partnership with men of vision.”

The Smiths are graduates of Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. Before their missionary appointment, they served as associate ministers in Dallas, Texas, and Marshall, Missouri. Rev. Smith has also been active in district youth and Teen Challenge ministries.
